When you use the service, we collect the URLs, titles, and descriptions of bookmarks you save. We also collect basic usage data such as page views and feature usage to improve the product.

We automatically collect technical information including your browser type, operating system, and IP address for security and performance purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the Bookmark.is service, including storing and indexing your bookmarks for search.

We may use aggregated, anonymized data to analyze usage patterns and improve the product. We never use your personal data for advertising or sell it to third parties.

We use your email address to send essential service communications such as account verification and security alerts. We will never send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers with encryption at rest and in transit. We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information.

Authentication tokens are managed securely by Clerk using HttpOnly cookies. We do not store sensitive credentials in browser storage.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Clerk for authentication, Cloudflare for hosting and CDN services, and standard analytics tools. These services have their own privacy policies governing how they handle your data.

We do not share your bookmark data with any third parties. Your bookmarks are private and only accessible by you.

5. Your Rights

You can export or delete your bookmarks at any time from within the app. You can delete your account entirely, which will permanently remove all your data from our systems.

If you are located in the EU, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to access, rectify, and erase your personal data. Contact us to exercise these rights.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. These are strictly necessary for the service to function and cannot be disabled.

We do not use advertising cookies or tracking cookies from third parties.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting a notice in the app or sending an email to your registered address.
